Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style that combines R&B with gospel, soul music and R&B. Her career path has taken her from Broadway to European festivals and clubs up to her participation in the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine is Denise White. While she is a resident of Atlanta but she is from Chester Pennsylvania where she began the musical path by singing as well as playing the piano at church. After attending Spellman College, Atlanta she embarked on her journey of music in the Atlanta's R&B culture. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was Stalk You A house 12 released exclusively in Japan; it has been remixed since by a variety of producers and has become an essential part of her live set. Also, she contributed to The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. She was appointed as the principal keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to serve as Choral Director of Dreamgirls which was a stage production in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained national recognition during her four daily performances during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was later invited to sing in the Obama administration's inaugural in 2009.
